Olympia is an original set of American playing cards designed by Steve Minty and produced by the United States Playing Card Company (USPCC). The deck is inspired by the fascinating stories of Greek Gods and their deeds. Olympia blends the classical beauty of Greek Sculptures with the elegant and sleek lines of modern design.

I spent countless hours as a child devouring their stories about love, betrayal, death, vengeance and the heroic deeds within Greek Mythology. I couldn't help but be fascinated by the these stories and it is something that I am very proud of being exposed to.

My goal when creating the Olympia Deck was to capture the beauty of Greek sculptures in a new medium of playing cards while simultaneously updating it with a graphic twist. I aim to make this deck worthwhile enough to be given as an offering to the altars of the Gods.  

Created as a pair of decks, Anubis and Osiris, these decks from artist Steve Minty was funded on KickStarter by 2,154 backers who pledged $93,907.  The Anubis deck featured a black tuck and card background, while the Osiris deck used a deep blue tone.  The tucks are with gold foil and embossed with a custom seal, while the cards also have gold foil on the back.

Symbology about the backs and the decks The backs of SINS represents Eden, the place where the first Sin happened. In SINS Mentis, Eve was planning to eat the Apple of Knowledge, but she didn't actually do that - so Eden was bright. In SINS Corpus, Eve ate the Apple and she was banned. Without her and Adam, an eternal night fell on Eden. This means, chronologically, that SINS Corpus happened after SINS Mentis. In SINS Anima, Adam and Eve realized they're the first two humans in the world. They are banned, frail and mortal. But after they ate the Apple, they also are full of self-knowledge. They became the first two dreamers. Eden is now empty and is red. Red like blood and hell fire - but also red like the heart, passion and life. The three decks also represents the philosophy behind the name Thirdway Industries: thesis, antithesis, synthesis.

Omnia Antica is the main deck of Omnia: The Golden Age and represents an era of abundance and wealth.

Suits are inspired by ancient civilizations, for example Hearts are inspired by Egyptians. The King is a Pharaoh, and the Jack is a priest of Life. Spades are inspired by Babylonians and Persians. Clubs are inspired by Greeks.The Jack is a Hoplite warrior, and the King is a Philosopher. Pips are elaborate, custom and include metallic inks. All aces are custom, not only the Ace of Spades. There is a winged snake on the AoH. Omnia Antica uses a lot of copper metallic ink, even on the card back border. As always, queens are pretty.

Funded as a Kickstarter project on July 2, 2015 with $44,147 pledged from 784 backers, this was a set of three decks (Illumina, Oscura & Suprema). Designed by Giovanni Meroni through Thirdway Industries, this deck was inspired by ancient symbology and traditional playing cards, drawn with the Thirdway Industries sharp and modern style.

Like the original deck, BIJOUX is inspired in the historical and mythological characters some believe were used for the creation of the first decks in Rouen during the 16th century. As for the art style, it was inspired by Art Nouveau jewelry. Art Nouveau is a style of decorative art, architecture and design promoted and popularized in Paris in the late 19th century and characterized by intricate linear designs and flowing curves based on natural forms.

Card Details: - Deco will be a limited 5,000 deck production by the US Playing Card Company. They will be sold in a pair, 2,500 sets total. It will not be reprinted or released again. Most major deck releases are printed in the tens of thousands, so Deco will be a guaranteed rarity from the start. - The cards will be on the highest-end Bee Casino stock with the excellent Magic finish. They will handle at the supreme top-end of the playing card scale. When you bring these out at your next poker game all your friends will notice how great they shuffle. - Deco Silver will be the light deck, with metallic silver, rich blue and white tones. Deco Bronze will be the dark deck, with warm near-black colors, metallic red and metallic bronze. - Deco has unique 90-degree four corner pips, carefully designed to assist with identifying cards when playing card games as well as adding visual detail during card flourishing or magic. - Deco will feature many elegant, hand-crafted details. Metallic inks add shimmer and depth and the deck is housed in a beautiful foil and embossed tuck box.

“Nec Plus Ultra” was written on the Pillars of Hercules, the limit of the known World. It means “No more further” in latin, and pass them was forbidden to all mortals. Ulysses was crazy enough to challenge Gods, and he was so hungry of knowledge to cross them. The story of Ulysses crossing the Pillars is found in the Divina Commedia by Dante Alighieri. In this version of the story, Ulysses dies here, by a huge storm sent by the angry Gods he decided to defy. The Goddess on the tuckbox that represent the Unknown and the Fate.
