When Thirdway Industries produces a limited deck there is usually some overproduction (2-300 extra decks usually) that are wrapped without the seal. These are occasionally sold as part of bundles, on special occasions like Black Friday, or upon request for a reduced price. This version was also produced without gilding. This deck is the last one of Odissea series and talk about the last travel and the death of Ulysses. “Nec Plus Ultra” was written on the Pillars of Hercules, the limit of the known World. It means “No more further” in latin, and pass them was forbidden to all mortals. Ulysses was crazy enough to challenge Gods, and he was so hungry of knowledge to cross them. The story of Ulysses crossing the Pillars is found in the Divina Commedia by Dante Alighieri. In this version of the story, Ulysses dies here, by a huge storm sent by the angry Gods he decided to defy. The Goddess on the tuckbox that represent the Unknown and the Fate. Air Deck 2.0 is made with the same high-quality materials as the original, but we've made a couple of upgrades (apart from the new look):

Our new decks are designed so they’re even more resilient to wear and tear. The boxes (including our current 1st generation Air Decks) are upgraded to .4mm waterproof synthetic paper, which makes them more durable than the .3mm we shipped with the original campaign. The ink on the box is now more resistant to scratching. We'll be planting mangrove trees to offset any CO2 emitted from production and shipping of the cards.

With the Air Deck 2.0 we did not want to compromise on quality. We went to several of the world’s best manufacturers of premium casino cards and asked for the best materials they could provide. In the process of creating the ultimate travel deck, we tried out over 50 different high-end plastic materials. The materials were taken through scratch, bending and handling tests to identify the best candidate. Finally, we ended up with a premium ‘casino quality’ PVC that has all the properties we want for our deck.

The Air Deck is incredibly resistant to tearing and bending, and is 100% waterproof. You can play with these in the pool, in the boat, in the tub, in the rain, at the beach, pretty much wherever you can think of.

In the process of selecting the material we sought advice from several playing card professionals, to help us find the optimal material and design. The end result is a deck that shuffles and handles like you expect professional cards to do. The cards are slightly textured on on both sides to provide excellent handling.

Similar to Nemesi and Aegis, the overrun of decks for Mythica were repacked in digitally-printed tuckboxes. This run was very limited ("around 10") and was not revealed prior to Thirdway Day (04/17) of 2022.
