This is the extremely rare Stripper Deck version of The Inferno playing card deck. It is verified that there were only 144 stripper decks printed by USPCC. You can tell the Stripper Deck version from the regular version by the green star sticker on the back, and of course because the cards are cut at a slight taper. The Inferno is a customized 56 card black and metallic ink playing card deck printed by USPCC and Inspired by Dante Alighieri's literary classic "The Divine Comedy." Three months in the making, each of the Jacks, Queens, and Kings represents a major figure from The Inferno. Each completely original character was designed as a modern interpretation that is true to the text and framed after the most famous "Inferno" Illustrations created by renowned artist Gustave Dore in the 19th Century. Staying true to that vision, we have created images utilizing the original Dore plates for our backgrounds.

Divine Art Playing Cards (DAPC) project takes the regular playing card deck and turns it on its head by combining it with Hindu Mythology. After Ganjifa, this project is one of the first that captures Hindu Mythology in a playing card deck.

The basis of the Indian world view is of Cosmic unity underlying the physical diversity of the world, through which man transcends himself. Since almost every Indian folk art form is based on Hindu mythology, for the Kings, Queens and Jacks of each suit, various Gods and Goddesses as well as their mounts (vahanas) are taken as inspiration. Millions worship these deities daily in India & abroad.
