This deckis a sequel to the Origins Playing Cards decks, which were voted United Cardists Best Overall Deck of 2014.

The Shadows campaign features two new decks and a special hand crafted Black Label edition, inspired by rare 16th century originals. The goal for this campaign is again to produce premium quality decks.

The Shadows deck is a modern deck inspired by historic originals. It will be printed by the United States Playing Card Company. Rare art sheets which form the inspiration for these decks were sourced over months from respected archives including the British Museum, Bibliothèque nationale de France, Archives Department of Seine-Maritime, and Fitzwilliam Museum of Cambridge.

Religion was a major theme in 16th century art and the Shadows deck is inspired by the story of Adam and Eve, and the choice between Innocentia (innocence) and Cognitio (the acquisition of knowledge). Which will you choose?

The Shadows of History deck features: An ornate premium quality tuck case, embossed and hot stamped with metallic foil. The cards are entirely custom full colour face cards, printed with ornate metallic ink backs. The Shadows deck will be produced using the highest quality paper sourced from sustainable forests, and printed with vegetable-based inks and starch-based laminates.

436 backers pledged $14,760 on April 17, 2015 to fund this Kickstarter project consisting of 2 different tucks with artwork from Nam Tibon as produced by Lux Playing Cards.  Per update from producer, there were 2,598 Tally Ho decks printed.

The Rouen 1567 deck will feature: A premium quality tuck case with embossing. The cards will feature recreations of extremely rare historic cards from 1567. These cards are drawn as closely as possible to the originals, with the addition of indices for playability. The subtle back design is a design based on historic references as the originals had plain backs.

The American Frontier Deck is a premium playing card deck inspired by wildlife illustrations of the late 19th century.  Created from Will Pitney's original pen & ink illustrations, each design maintains classic, hand-drawn characteristics.  Featuring the era-appropriate Bicycle® logo from the original 1895 "Expert Back". Bicycle® brand is printed by The United States Playing Card Company established in 1867.

Funded as a Kickstarter project on 05/29/15 with $32,331 pledged from 769 backers, this is the Second Edition of these playing cards based on the art and tradition of Dia de los Muertos, designed by Edgy Brothers and printed by USPCC.

Funded as a Kickstarter project on February 22, 2014 with $69,452 NZD (just over $50k USD) pledged from 1,109 backers, this was a set of two decks consisting of the First Edition (standard blue tuck unlimited deck) and Grail (white tuck limited edition of 2,500 decks), plus 20 very limited commemorative sets in wooden boxes and an uncut version. Both tucks were embossed and hot stamped with gold foil with a custom seal and featured the intricately designed card back image on the back of the tuck.

A number of additional add-ons including shirts, prints, collector box, coin, poster, etc were also available.

Designed by Rick Davidson of New Zealand, this deck featured a re-interpretation of the original 15th century face cards from Rouen, France that was the basis for the current standard courts now used on so many common playing card decks. Rick carefully studied many historic cards and prints from this time period (http://originscards.com/archive/) to create his new interpretations, but also occasionally brought in modern day inspirations for facial features, including Charlize Theron for the Queen of Clubs.

The cards were printed on casino quality Bee stock with a magic finish from USPCC with special Q1 quality production. In addition, magician Lee Asher, helped design the gaff card included with the deck that featured the King of Spades and Queen of Hearts.

Per direct communication with the artist, there were 14k total decks manufactured (7k light, 7k dark). Of these, 4,200 of each color (4.2k/7k) received an official numbered and signed backer card, but there were a total of 7k printed for each color.

Commonly known as "1864 Restoration - Saladee's Patent Deck" from the KickStarter project of that name, or "Saladee's Patent Playing Cards Restoration" from the bottom of the tuck, the decks themselves have a title of "Hart's Linen Eagle".  There were 4 unique decks available in the related KickStarter project: Standard, Limited, Original Release and Weathered.  Plus a display deck for the Weathered deck for a total of 5 tucks and P52 entries.

For over 500 years people used playing cards without indices in the corners. Then on February 9, 1864 Cyrus W. Saladee was issued a United States Patent, No. 41,587 to print numbers, suit symbols, letters, and miniature playing cards in the corner of a playing card. The patent was purchased by Samuel Hart and he put Saladee's name on the deck and Ace of Spades.  The rare piece of history is known as the Saladee's Patent Deck. Others eventually started to print indices, as we see in the Squeezers and Triplicates which began production 12 years later in 1876.
