Republic No.2 Playing Cards by Illusionist. 2014. Republic #2 is the second release in the Republic brand, following the original 'Sultan' Republic and it's special edition, the Sultan Republic: Treasury. Designed by Mike Clarke.

The Sultan. Once the most powerful man in the known world. A Commander. A Ruler. A God King. It was at the Sultan\'s behest that the Republic rose. Altruistic and philanthropic, the Sultan now shares his wealth with his people. We searched out to capture the majesty of the Sultan, of the treasures he amassed, and the stories of a simpler time. Over 8 months in the making, lead designer Mike Clarke spent countless hours finessing the design of everything from the curlicues on the box flap to the muted red lines of the herringboned hearts, delivering the perfect balance of form and function throughout. Printed on the finest stock the US Playing Card company has to offer, the pulp fibres have been specially compressed to offer the utmost in durability whilst achieving a thinner card with a pleasing snap. STRIPE features a simplistic design with substance - taking full advantage of the playing card back. The subtle interplay between stripes and illusory circles allows for constant interpretation, and is what continues to keep the STRIPE deck fresh and new. Thicker borders have always been a preference of ours. A clear visual division between every packet makes the movements more distinct - and movement is what cardistry is all about. We chose to make STRIPE resemble a deck of standard poker playing cards. We see cardistry as the ability to push an everyday object to its creative and visual limits, so maintaining the relatability is important to us. We've always dreamt about reflecting our passion for cardistry through a unique deck of playing cards - and this is what STRIPE is.

The Second Edition of Artifice added a functional border on the back to improve upon the deceptiveness of sleights requiring the alignment of cards, such as a Push Off Double or Elmsley count.  However, the purple from the 2nd edition does not have the white border like the v2 blue and emerald, but instead a black border with white face which limits the benefits of the second edition.

The Stoics are David Blaine’s first release of 2018. The stock is called JN Finish and is the most like Jerry's Nugget decks obtainable. The Stoics handle unlike anything on the mainstream market and magicians will notice some incredible hidden features.

The tuck box is made of premium quality synthetic paper, embossed with red and silver foil.
