Out of 2500 decks printed, 432 had gilding added to them according to a backers-only update. The gilded decks have a plain gold seal instead of the numbered one.

I have chosen to express 1001 Nights with a naive yet very intricate design, which is all my own. 1001 Nights celebrates the simplicity and honesty of “hand-made” objects, which are becoming increasingly rare now.
At the deepest level, these cards reflect the boundless spirit of the Arabian Nights and the never-ending bond between the Teller of Tales and the Listener.

Open Portals is a fully illustrated poker-sized playing card deck by James R. Eads and can be used to play any card game. This deck is unique because each card has its own image and story. This self-published medieval styled deck consists of 54 cards including two naughty Jokers, from Patrick Velenza (Deviant Moon) in a style similar to his well received 2008 tarot deck Deviant Moon. Per direct update from the artist, just 500 were printed (original plan as mentioned via twitter of 777 was reduced in actual printing). Patrick was also known to include 2 randomly selected transformation cards (out of a confirmed 28 available) which he created that have the same back as the deck with each order. The deck came shrinkwrapped with the seal on the shrinkwrap with any bonus transformation cards added outside of the tuck in the shipment packaging.
