Funded as a Kickstarter project on May 23, 2014 with $27,421 pledged from 588 backers, this was a two deck set consisting of both a Standard and Limited Edition. Designed by Ade Suryana and produced by Kardify Projects, this deck features the theme of Aquila (Latin for eagle) which was inspired by the Garuda Wisnu Kencana in Bali, Indonesia, that is a large mythical bird with eagle-like features has been featured in many cultural and religious mythologies. While most backers of this KickStarter project did not receive their decks until August 2016 (19 months late - due to creator and alleged fulfilment company issues), the deck was produced in July 2015

Funded as a Kickstarter project on February 22, 2014 with $69,452 NZD (just over $50k USD) pledged from 1,109 backers, this was a set of two decks consisting of the First Edition (standard blue tuck unlimited deck) and Grail (white tuck limited edition of 2,500 decks), plus 20 very limited commemorative sets in wooden boxes and an uncut version. Both tucks were embossed and hot stamped with gold foil with a custom seal and featured the intricately designed card back image on the back of the tuck.

A number of additional add-ons including shirts, prints, collector box, coin, poster, etc were also available.

Designed by Rick Davidson of New Zealand, this deck featured a re-interpretation of the original 15th century face cards from Rouen, France that was the basis for the current standard courts now used on so many common playing card decks. Rick carefully studied many historic cards and prints from this time period (http://originscards.com/archive/) to create his new interpretations, but also occasionally brought in modern day inspirations for facial features, including Charlize Theron for the Queen of Clubs.

The cards were printed on casino quality Bee stock with a magic finish from USPCC with special Q1 quality production. In addition, magician Lee Asher, helped design the gaff card included with the deck that featured the King of Spades and Queen of Hearts. This PCDB Entry is for the Grail Edition which was limited to a maximum of 2,500 decks and in the Pearlesque Natural Pearl colored tuck. This entry is for the first print run of v2 edition of DeckONE playing cards which can be distinguished by roman numerals "II" visible on the tuck flap. First print run of v2 edition has "II" on the tuck flap. Quote from Director of Operations at Theory11, Lyle Borders: Two versions, across three different printings. Printing #1 did not have the aged, worn look that the current edition does. People carried these decks in their pockets, and eventually they would wear down and develop a really cool aged look. V2 emulated that look. V2 had 2 printings. The III indicates the 3rd printing, which is a V2 printing. II and III are essentially identical other than that small change which indicates the printing. This is the special edition "White Gold" edition of Aurum. Only 500 of these decks are publicly available. The luxurious pearlescent paper shimmers both white and gold depending on the light and features incredibly intricate gold foiling, metallic inks and embossing. Every card is intricately designed and features multiple metallic inks and was also carefully crafted to be "purposefully imperfect."

Each deck will feature a custom holographic seal with an individual number.
