Bicycle Jacquard gets its design inspiration from complex, ornate patterns often woven into fabric resulting in beautiful displays. The Bicycle Jacquard tuck case features emerald green and silver foil details woven throughout creating a dazzling and dramatic appeal. Just as Jacquard machines revolutionized Looms with their “chain of cards” operation, this premium deck of cards has been designed and manufactured with the same sophistication and innovative technology.

Also available in a white version which was released later (May 2013), this deck from Theory 11 was released near the end of 2012, was illustrated by hand in South Africa and designed by Simon Frouws. They featured elegant gold foil stamped onto ultra-lux black paper derived from sustainable forests. Produced by USPCC, the stock is from FSC-certified papers derived from sustainable forests, vegetable-based inks and starch-based laminates. Sealed with a red tax-stamp, vintage sticker seal marked with the exact month and year of print. Containing largely standard face cards, the emphasis is on the premium foil tuck, card back artwork and stock quality that also was environmentally conscious.

Timeless Americana is laced throughout the design, with iconography of colonial America and patriotic symbols of peace, prosperity, and potential. Unions are Made in America, using FSC-certified paper, vegetable-based inks, and starch-based laminates.

Unions were designed by Jay Fletcher in Charleston, South Carolina - one of the oldest and most historic cities in America.

A second deck of cards by Art of Play pays homage to Stephen King’s classic novel and Stanley Kubrick’s legendary movie, The Shining.

The first edition of Overlook Playing Cards, released in 2018, is now called the “Carpet Back,” with its back carrying the iconic carpet design inside the Overlook Hotel. This second edition, released in 2023, is called the “Maze Back”. Its back design represents the maze from The Shining’s nail-biting climax.

The faces feature a slightly custom USPC face design. Each deck includes a double-backer with the Maze Back on one side and the Carpet Back on the other.

This new fifteen-anniversary edition in red takes inspiration from 19th-century typography—a homage to the original Smoke & Mirrors design with intricate details for a sophisticated look.

The cards feature our trademark D&D monogram in a new typeset surrounded by a mosaic pattern on the backs, along with a custom ace of spades, joker, and suits for the number cards. Printed by the U.S. Playing Cards Co. on our trademark thin stock using classic Arrco-style court cards.

Packaged inside a red letterpress-printed tuck box sealed with a stamp. Standard Edition is available along with a Limited Edition Twinpack signed and numbered by the artists 1 through 250.
