Originally offered by Spicy Pickle Creative as a KickStarter project in June 2014, with a failed relaunch shortly after, the rights and artwork were purchased by Albino Dragon.  After 2 years of deliberation and almost being abandoned, it was finally successful in June 2016 with 272 backers who pledged $7,857.

The Tragic Royalty deck features black and dark red Rider backs with grey borders and faces. They are fluorescent under black light (UV-light). All of the pips have small swirls in the corners, and the court cards have different background colours; one side has a black background with a grey or white pip (grey for normally black pips and white for normally red pips), the other side has a grey background with a black or red pip. All the faces of the court cards are custom, each with a different whimsical and ghoulish face. Comes with 2 Jokers (one of which has a guarantee print) and a custom Ace of Spades.
