Materia Prima: An Expression of Matter is a deck based on the Periodic Table with artwork that has been hand-inked, then burned to plate to be letterpress printed and finally, finished with hand screened color. We haven't created a new playing card deck for our studio in over five years, so it's pretty exciting for us to introduce "Republic," a custom playing card deck based on Finnish/Nordic folk art and design. There is a large Finnish community in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan where our studio is located, especially in our hometown of Republic. We are excited to have a deck that bears the name of this local community that we love so much and cannot wait to share it with you when it arrives at the studio in June!

This Momentum poker deck is designed by Krisztin Kondor and is inspired by movement captured in a moment in time. It features a back design which suggests movement, custom suits, and intricately drawn court cards that capture the essence of the deck. As you explore the court cards, note the subtle variations between the characters on the top and bottom. This serves as a reminder that even within a single moment, there is constant change.

I am planning to make a special edition of the Liber Ludorum cards, with a more premium tuck box. The tuck boxes will be hot foil stamped on coloured cardstock, there will be two colour options produced, limited to around 300 examples each. The cards themselves will be just the same as in my original Liber Ludorum kickstarter (printed in 2019 by Cartamundi on the now defunct Superlux stock). This is a mockup of the new box design. You can see the design is similar in style to the original boxes, but the production will be rather different: with hot foil stamping on coloured cardstock. Note this prototype is intended to show you the design rather than any aspect of the production. The two colour alternatives available will be a dark grey and a red.
