A whole year after the first Venexiana deck, the story continues with a travel to the dark heart of 18th century Venice. Venexiana Dark features a series of obscure and marginal characters who complete the picture of this haunting city. Thieves, assassins, prostitutes, wicked noblemen and masters of deception are all on board in this imaginary gondola. Hop in and follow the journey to the unknown through the narrow canals of Venice.

Venexiana Dark is in fact two different decks: The "Masked" and the "Revealed" editions, with the first one featuring the courts wearing masks, while the second has the courts unmasked and their faces revealed!

There was a mixup in production which resulted in the tucks for the decks being mixed (masked card in revealed tuck and vice-versa).  This was only noticed after initial shipments were started and then shipment halted to allow the decks to be re-packaged.  As a result, some decks exist with the wrong cards in the wrong tuck, but the majority are assumed to have been corrected.

The Cross is the most famous symbol of Christianity and one of the best-known symbols in the world. The reason for the symbol's importance lies in the event that took place over 2000 years ago. Telling this story on a deck of cards is indeed somewhat controversial. If we look at it more soberly, it is Christian symbolism on a stack of paper. The Cross and the meaning and influence it has had on the world over the last 2000 years provide many opportunities to tell its story in the form of a deck of playing cards. The Lost Legends story takes inspiration from "The Middle Ages" in Europe, also known as the "Dark Ages." This era is characterized by ignorance and superstition, shrouding the world like a never ending nightmare. During this period, the Church initiated the lengthy "witch-hunt" movement, leading to the persecution and suppression of countless innocent women being accused. "Lost Legends" is a series set in this era, drawing from its historical context while incorporating fantasy elements to create an epic series.

Standard Edition "The Witch": The character depictions on the card box is delicate and captivating, presenting an enduring sense of historical weight akin to sculptures. With gold foils, the overall tuckbox stands out as an art piece. The Standard Edition is limited to 2500, individually numbered at the bottom. The overall construction of the tuck box leans towards the solemnity of Papal murals, while incorporating elements reminiscent of the Mughal decorative art style to achieve a harmonious composition. The card back and front designs feature extensive metallic ink throughout, providing just enough shine to enhance the designs of the patterns and characters. Also featuring a looming intricate pattern in the background, it further enhances the luxuriousness of the cards themselves.

I am pleased to introduce my latest project - Culturae Animalis.

Culturae Animalis (the cultural animal/animal culture) is a deck of highly detailed, hand-drawn, luxury art playing cards. It is a deck of stunning art playing cards with a beautiful message of cultural respect and environmental and animal protection. The illustration work alone took over six months, with every card, including pip cards, having its own unique design, and each set of suit court cards being one continuous panoramic scene.

Most of my written and illustrated work revolves around themes of nature, wildlife and identity, and this project is no different. Each suit depicts one animal type and one culture.

Each card is meticulously designed in exquisite detail. With intricate borders and colors throughout the deck. The standard edition of the Alice deck features Gold accents on the back design as well as the tuck case. This detail makes distinguishing the standard from the Limited and gilded decks even easier.

The jokers consist of a vertical diptych image of Alice (modeled after Jackson's daughter Scarlett), as she tumbles down the rabbit hole to find what awaits her in Wonderland.
