The intricate and colorful drawings of Ivan Moscovich have been featured at the Institute of Contemporary Arts in London, the Museum of Mathematics in New York City and prestigious galleries around the world. Now, for the first time, a limited selection of his life’s work is available to a global, online audience. Each image below is an original, one-of-a-kind artwork.

The images on these cards were created through collaboration of man and machine. Ivan Moscovich patented his Harmonograph device in 1967 and soon after his revolutionary approach to drawing was featured in an exhibition titled Cybernetic Serendipity at the Institute of Contemporary Arts in London.

A ground-breaking visual artist, inventor and author, Moscovich’s work attracted the attention of creative luminaries such as M.C. Escher and Frank Oppenheimer.

Cybernetic playing cards are a curated exhibition of 54 unique Harmongrams printed on the face of each card.

Once upon a time, there was a marvelous city in which lived a wise, advanced civilization that was rumoured to have descended from the gods. Their knowledge and technological progress had no match in the whole world. With its incomparable architecture, lush nature, and wealth, the city was a bright beacon shining its light forward while the rest of the world watched in envy. However, Atlantians were not all kind, and soon, pride, greed, and envy took over their hearts. Soon, the entire city was filled with wrath, which brought upon them the anger from the gods. They decided to punish this rotten city and sentenced it to immediate demise. The city of Atlantis sunk deep underwater and its mysteries, never to be found again.

The legend of Atlantis has mystified many people, starting from Greek philosophers to conspiracy theorists nowadays. Our designer Pedro Oyarbide was no different and decided to pay tribute to this magnificent legend by creating a new deck in two versions. One of them, called the Rise Edition, shows Atlantis in its full bloom, shortly before its disappearance. The second one, Sink Edition, shows the city as we imagine it now, resting forever in the depths of the sea.

Killer Bees are the mutant hybrid of timid European honey bees and their African cousins.  Like all superhero stories, the Killers were introduced to Brazil by mad scientists to help re-populate their diminishing Bee population.  But no-one could contain them... In 1957, 26 swarms escaped quarantine and declared war on the western hemisphere.  Danger lurking in the skies, these villains will stalk their victims for up to 1/2 a mile..  We wanted to capture the darker bodies of these cold-face killers in our deck. Creating a harsh black back with toxic-waste yellow honeycomb spilt on the back.  The black faces display custom pips and hold a sinister simplicity. Like something you'd expect to see on a discarded barrel of methylamine.  Killer Bees are the result of an unsanctioned lab experiment when toxic-waste spilled into a delicate hive of Honey Bees.
