Poison is a series of playing cards by Thirdway Industries, inspired by alchemy, pharmacy, and poisons, and set in a fictional America circa 1920. Designed by the Italian designer Giovanni Meroni. There are three decks in the Poison series: Aspis is the unlimited deck, printed by USPCC. Belladonna is the limited edition (1500) printed by LPCC. Kingslayer is a gilded, limited edition (printed in max 888 copies), Kickstarter exclusive! Kingslayer is the gilded edition of Poison Aspis. It features a beautiful tuck box with premium paper, two different layers of green foil and embossing. It's gilded with Emerald green and it's limited to a max of 888 copies. Senior year (2019) of high school, I entered a New York State art competition. I had to design the Jack, Queen, King and Aces of each suit representing an artistic movement. I won 1st Place and while at the competition, I had judges and students alike telling me the same thing, “You should make these.” Since then, I expanded on the idea, redesigning the initial artwork to create a completely original, hand illustrated, kaleidoscopic deck of cards.

Each suit represents an artistic movement. Rather than stick with the classic black and red card design, every card features completely original artwork, with unique design elements on the number cards and hand illustrated paintings as the Jacks, Queens & Kings. With every number card alternating between the three main styles illustrated in the face cards, the deck becomes a visual feast for the eyes.

With a back design inspired by museum architecture and a gold foiled and embossed tuck box, this deck is perfect for everyone, from the interested artist to the experienced cardist.

Kickstarter Campaign

This deck features weirdly wonderful bio-mechanical anthropomorphic creatures from English artist Mr. Mead who channeled his childhood fear and obsession with anthropomorphism. The characters are grouped by family into the four suits, Birds for the Hearts, Horned Beasts the Diamonds, Cats the Spades and Foxes the Clubs. A total of 4 versions were printed in 6 runs of 100 each.  Each version uses the same cards, but a different tuck for each version.  Initially released in April 2011 as v1 with 100 decks using a tuckbox featuring a rat head and Antlers Gallery 'A' logo on the back, as they were sold by antlersgallery.com only or at the gallery reception event.  Shortly after a 2nd version was printed using the Diving Bull (AoD) on the tuckbox with 100 more decks.  This was followed by another 100 printing as v3 using the Voxman (AoC) on the tuckbox.  Finally the v4 in 3 print runs of 100 each using the foxhead logo, also known as the 'artist edition'.

Mr. Mead uses the traditional drawing technique of dip pen and ink to blend the animal, human and mechanic into a super species he nicknames Bio-Mechanical Anthropomorphism. Working from his studio in Jamaica Street Studios, Bristol, Mead creates artwork for folk tales, album covers, posters and large scale works. He has exhibited far and wide, from London to New York and Melbourne.

Chaos Playing Cards features mythological theme and the concept of CHAOS! The Aces features enlarged customized pip, with each suit shows the characteristics of one of the four realms found in the Realm of Chaos. The Number Pips features customized pips that both features faces inside along with some symbols. The Courts feature some of the famous mythological creatures exist in legends. There are 4 Joker Cards - 2 of them features the main deities of the Realm: The Cat who wants Chaos and The Goddess who wants Order. The cards feature holographic silver cold foil on both sides. Bestiary Edition features the CHAOS FACTOR = the deck features 8 different tuck box variant. You can't choose what variant you will get, because it will be randomized! If you got a few copies, the choices are still randomized, BUT you are guaranteed to avoid duplicates. HOWEVER, to be able to get all the 8 variants, you can get the Forbidden Box. The tuck boxes are produced by Boshiero & Newton - black matte stock with up to four different metallic foils on both the exterior and interior sides, and a few of the foils are overlapped. There are a total of 2000 decks of Bestiary Edition, with each variant is 250 decks.

To celebrate the warm and sunny summer, we are launching a very limited deck of Butterfly Playing Cards. Of the 1000 Summer Edition decks printed, 900 will be available to those lucky enough to be here on the first day of summer: June 21, 2021. The Butterfly Playing Cards Summer Edition is suitable for players, cardists, magicians, and playing card collectors. The deck echoes the beautiful color palette of summer and includes custom court cards, aces, and jokers as well as a blank face card and a double backer. These cards are not marked in any way. The Butterfly Playing Cards Summer Edition was produced by Ondrej Psenicka, designed in Sweden by Stefan Eriksson, colored in the Czech Republic by Tereza Kovandová, and printed by Cartamundi on Slimline stock with a B9 linen finish.

AvH explores the differences between two iconic sans serif fonts. Designed in the UK by Luke Wadey, AvH uses the form of letters and numbers to create abstract graphics, combined with clean and bold typographic playing card design. A fully custom deck, the cards feature overlapping characters and selective cropping, to analyse the details of two infamous fonts, whilst creating distinctive and unique patterns. At first glance the fonts can appear very similar, but subtleties in each line and corner are what makes them unique. This deck aims to highlight those personality traits. Influenced by the Swiss design style, AvH promises to be truly unique in your collection, whilst remaining functional for all users, particularly cardists who will enjoy the bold flashes of colour during their routines.

A project by Adrian Valenzuela, creator of the AVTones brand. Featuring futuristic and cyberpunk styles in the tucks, cards, and drawer case, the 2049 project highlights five different tucks with two variations on the cards themselves. The tucks include Carbon Standard, Carbon Gilded, Karma Standard, Karma Gilded, and Replica Gilded. The cards are all the same back and face design with orange gilded edges featured for the gilded decks. This deck, Karma Standard, features a soft matte finish white tuck with orange foil highlights and the "wrap around" numbered seals.

Killer Bees are the mutant hybrid of timid European honey bees and their African cousins.  Like all superhero stories, the Killers were introduced to Brazil by mad scientists to help re-populate their diminishing Bee population.  But no-one could contain them... In 1957, 26 swarms escaped quarantine and declared war on the western hemisphere.  Danger lurking in the skies, these villains will stalk their victims for up to 1/2 a mile..  We wanted to capture the darker bodies of these cold-face killers in our deck. Creating a harsh black back with toxic-waste yellow honeycomb spilt on the back.  The black faces display custom pips and hold a sinister simplicity. Like something you'd expect to see on a discarded barrel of methylamine.  Killer Bees are the result of an unsanctioned lab experiment when toxic-waste spilled into a delicate hive of Honey Bees.
