Premium, designer playing cards produced in collaboration with Steve Cohen, "The Millionaires’ Magician,” star of Chamber Magic®, a headline show at the prestigious Waldorf Astoria Hotel in New York City.

In August 2013, we began a quest to create playing cards fit for display at the legendary Waldorf Astoria, the gathering place for royalty and the ultra-wealthy. For the past 14 years, Cohen has performed Chamber Magic there, in a private Waldorf Towers suite, for sold-out audiences including Warren Buffett, David Rockefeller, and the Queen of Morocco. In 2012, Cohen became the first magician in a half-century to sell out Carnegie Hall.

Available in Crimson Red and Ming Blue, the cards are produced in the USA using FSC-certified papers derived from sustainable forests, vegetable-based inks, and starch-based laminates.

Featuring court cards licensed from Fournier in Villareal de Àlava, Spain, the Jacks, Queens, and Kings have skin tone faces - joined by an elegant, debonair Joker and Ace of Spades.

A small production deck to be used internally and for promotion purposes at the company Mailchimp, this deck gained a large group of fans when it was posted on the website dribble and other sites. It was designed and produced by the creative/ad agency Fuzzco promotion company with assistance from Theory11 in early 2014. Possible plans for public availability and a 2nd printing was quickly solidified after the appreciation for this deck was obvious. The 2nd printing was done as a 2nd version in 2 color variations in March 2015 direct from Theory11 with proceeds to support Fugees Family, a non-profit organization devoted to working with child survivors of war. Monarch Eleven Madison Park Edition playing cards were a single production run with an original tax stamp (jagged) seal and then a replacement smooth seal when the small inventory of tax stamp seals became unavailable at the time. There is only a V1 edition since the tuck box design and playing cards are identical, but rather the small number of jagged tax stamp seals were used first and then the more abundant and available smooth seals were used second when the jagged tax stamp seals were temporarily unavailable . Monarch Eleven Madison Park Edition playing cards were a single-printing limited-edition product not ever sold on theory11.com. These were printed specifically for Eleven Madison Park, a high end restaurant in New York City that was ranked #1 in the world in 2017, and is consistently ranked in the top 10 in the world. This deck is a custom variation based on Silver Monarch playing cards. Eleven Madison Park Edition playing cards were a single production run with an original jagged seal and then a replacement smooth seal when the jagged seal inventory ran out of stock (see picture of T11 VP of Operations Comments).

Unions were designed by Jay Fletcher in Charleston, South Carolina - one of the oldest and most historic cities in America.

Over a year in development, every aspect of the design was created from scratch - from the breathtaking court cards to the back design and Ace of Spades.

For six months, we’ve been keeping one secret closely guarded. In collaboration with USPC, we began testing an experimental new process, for the first time applying gold foil DIRECTLY on the back of playing cards.

The cards are then processed with Bicycle’s most durable finish - resulting in a card that spreads, fans, shuffles, and tears just like a normal playing card. Based on research at USPC, they’re 400% more durable and 30% more flexible than any other foil application. Scratch them, twist them, tear them, bend them - the foil doesn’t come off.
