We are very pleased to announce the release of the second deck in our Erdnase 1902 series of playing card decks. These are a new design by Guy Hollingworth which build on the previous all over back design adding a white border and an elegant S.W.E. and acorn center piece. Additionally, we have maintained the high standard of quality featured in the previous release retaining the finest Bee Casino 825 paper and special coating. While we released the first deck in an all over back design, in keeping with the cards we believe Erdnase to have favored, this new deck is geared more towards magical purposes due to the white border. Also, we have kept the tradition of offering the cards in Cambric and Ivory finishes, perfect for a variety of surreptitious purposes, or just to suit your preference. The Legends 202 decks by Legends Playing Cards were a set of 3 varied color decks of red, blue and black. The tuck case featured 3D embossing and a custom die-cut tuck box with interior foil. The cards designed by Mark Stutzman utilized two tone printing. Symbolism was also referenced for each deck with gold and black for the sun and land, silver and blue for the moon and heavens, and red on white for the double crown encompassing upper and lower Egypt. There are only 3,202 decks printed per color of Legends 202 Egyptian Edition. The decks were also hinted at containing hidden secrets, similar to prior decks. While they did include a marking system for identifying cards from the card back, there were flaws in the clubs suit where the 8 and 9 have the same markings on the back (ribs of the hound). This error then caused the 10 to read as a 9, Jack as 10 and Queen as Jack. While the King of clubs returns to the proper markings, this is a total of 4 cards that provide the wrong information. The v2 are similar to the v1s and are regular decks with white "minimal playing cards" instead of coloured. Along with the regular red, yellow, green, blue, and purple they have also made a black (which has a white tuck) and a orange and light blue summer variants.

This deck is all about a classic sideshow experience. The distinguishing feature of the English standard playing card is that the Jacks are lansquenets – mighty warriors or foot soldiers. With such a rich and illustrious subject matter, nothing needed to be added that wasn’t already there. All that was needed was to give each of the characters dimension and expression. Nothing was done to disturb the basic foundation of the deck. Rather, conscious decisions were made to preserve and extend the tradition. Each and every card in the WhiteKnuckle Deck is a unique hand rendering in keeping with the style. Where ambiguity gave way to artistic license, reference was made to its ancestor, the French Rouen design.
