Created in partnership with California based creative studio, DKNG, Red Wheel playing cards is our most anticipated collaboration to date. DKNG, founded in 2005, helps some of the world’s foremost artists and entertainers inspire others through illustration and design.

The Red Wheel deck is as iconic as it is fresh - taking inspiration from the classic Bicycle Rider Back, we are pleased to offer an all new updated look - clean design meets creative personality in each card. Sons of Liberty Patriot Blue, The

Art of Play // 2016

The tuck box features sculptural embossing in both bronze and pewter foil. The cards themselves feature a plethora of masonic imagery, a Liberty Tree ace of spades, and a tax stamp seal. A handful of the Son's most patriotic members are represented on the court cards in 18th century style etching. Furthermore, the stock itself has undergone the unique crushing procedure, propietary to Art of Play.

In 2018 my friend and I opened our own little independent pharmacy in a small Nebraskan town (Hickman). As a way to bring a smile to the faces of our customers, I learned a few VERY SIMPLE card illusions ("tricks are what whores do for money" -Gob Bluth). During the process I fell in love with playing cards, magic, and cardistry. Short story long, I talked to some WONDERFUL individuals (including Brendan Hong and Gio aka Thirdway) and they inspired me to create a deck for the pharmacy. I reached out to an incredible illustrator, Russell Gray, and after almost a year of brainstorming and countless adjustments, we created the Meadowlark Deck. I hope you enjoy it as much as we do. As a child I was fascinated by these little men that stand about as tall as a three-year-old, pinch you if you don’t wear green on St Patrick’s Day and hide gold at the end of rainbows. I have wanted to create a deck based upon this legend for quite a while. One day while talking to my friend and Artist Brad Gabbard or Native Tongue Studio, I ran the idea by him. Over the next several months he designed and redesigned many backs and court card combinations until he was finally able to come up with the perfect combination of both.

We wanted a deck that would appeal to cardists, magicians and collectors. To achieve this goal, we did the following:

Fully Custom St. Patrick’s Day themed court feature along with a beautiful custom AOS and Identical Jokers. Clover pips are used in place of Clubs, as well as unique metallic gold and metallic green suits rather than traditional black and red.

A number of additional secrets are hidden throughout the deck. The more of them you find, the more “lucky” you can make this deck for yourself…
