Soundboards Playing Cards were first created by Patrick Varnavas in 2014 and then released in 2015. That first edition was printed in blue and shortly after a red version was teased but never ended up becoming a reality. Now, for the first time since their original 2015 release, new Soundboards are being printed through collaboration between Patrick Varnavas and Riffle Shuffle. It is an honor to introduce the newest edition of Soundboards to the world after nearly 4 years of waiting.

The Soundboards deck was created to celebrate vintage audio gear like 80s cassette players and gramophones. The back design incorporates major pieces of audio equipment from different eras into one harmonious setup. The design is detailed and easy to stare, finding a balance between simplicity and complexity. The deck’s traditionally reversible and intricate back design, illustrated by Stuart Palm, has held up over the years and has been left largely unchanged in this red edition with the exception of a few small details.

This time the cards are coming from USPCC on their Crushed Premium stock, a welcome change for all card handlers. Limited Edition of 2500 Decks. Every detail from the original Soundboard’s memorable box has been faithfully recreated in this new red edition featuring added structural improvements to enhance the box’s functionality. Fans of the original deck will feel the nostalgia immediately and the deck’s ties to vintage audio gear will get everybody else feeling the nostalgia too. Our very anticipated first deck of 2020 is here!!! Snackers Blackberry Flavor is the second deck in the Snackers series and we added a couple different things this time. Like before, the decks come in a re-sealable fruit snack bag, but this time we used an essential oil to make sure the scent stayed in the bag! I heard if you us the deck after opening it that sometimes it makes the deck scented too! We also made a half brick box to put your bags in and play some games on. Fox Playing Cards draws its inspiration from the mysterious character of a fox - a fiery red animal whose almost human-like wit has eluded people for centuries. The designer, Adrian Valenzuela, chose a simple black backdrop for the image of the fox's head that peeks right out of the top of the box. Air Deck 2.0 is made with the same high-quality materials as the original, but we've made a couple of upgrades (apart from the new look):

Our new decks are designed so they’re even more resilient to wear and tear. The boxes (including our current 1st generation Air Decks) are upgraded to .4mm waterproof synthetic paper, which makes them more durable than the .3mm we shipped with the original campaign. The ink on the box is now more resistant to scratching. We'll be planting mangrove trees to offset any CO2 emitted from production and shipping of the cards.

With the Air Deck 2.0 we did not want to compromise on quality. We went to several of the world’s best manufacturers of premium casino cards and asked for the best materials they could provide. In the process of creating the ultimate travel deck, we tried out over 50 different high-end plastic materials. The materials were taken through scratch, bending and handling tests to identify the best candidate. Finally, we ended up with a premium ‘casino quality’ PVC that has all the properties we want for our deck.

The Air Deck is incredibly resistant to tearing and bending, and is 100% waterproof. You can play with these in the pool, in the boat, in the tub, in the rain, at the beach, pretty much wherever you can think of.

In the process of selecting the material we sought advice from several playing card professionals, to help us find the optimal material and design. The end result is a deck that shuffles and handles like you expect professional cards to do. The cards are slightly textured on on both sides to provide excellent handling.
