After having created several modern original decks of playing cards I have recently been inspired from playing cards from the past. And in this campaign I will present you 2 amazing examples of semi-transformation playing cards from the late 19th century. By supporting this campaign you will be helping bring back a piece of playing card history. All of the art was painstakingly recreated digitally from scratch. I was walking down the beach with my sister's lovely labradors and I stopped to lay on the sand for a while. Chill a little... So I started thinking about the design. I looked up and what I saw was just a blue sky. It was perfection - only two beautiful clouds, pure and white drifting away... It was almost like a painting, I though "damn, that's it, we got it!"

Now when you see our cards, it's easy to feel that way. Imagine laying on the beach... feeling warm sand between your feet and dreaming. This is pure perfection. This is Cloud 9...

Inspired by the work of Jackson Pollock, the POLLOCK: Artistry Deck is a nod to Pollock’s ability to reimagine how artwork and personal expression could be intertwined. The splatter artwork is hand painted by Randy Butterfield and Mike Wilson. The Deck is printed by The Expert Playing Card Company’s Taiwan printer, and utilizes their exceptional Classic Finish.

The Back Card for the POLLOCK: Artistry Deck is an intricate composite of our splatter artwork. The colors are bold and interesting. The Ace of Spade and Jokers, like the Tuck Box, mimic a Painting in a Gallery setting. The semi-custom Face Cards incorporate various color combos of the splatter painting composite and create a cohesive look for the rest of the Deck.

The POLLOCK: Artistry Tuck Box is printed on a premium Matte Tuck material and features a clear UV Spot Ink overlay that adds a level of gloss in strategic locations. The designs for the Tuck are meant to mimic the look of a Painting displayed in an Art Gallery. The descriptor card and red dot adds to the Gallery vibe. For many Art Galleries around the world, a red dot indicates that a Painting has been SOLD!
