It is a combination of copper pigmented pantones and metal copper foils, used to simulate rust and an iconic artwork that is sure to leave a lasting impression with the addition of embossing effects. The tuck case itself is sturdy and designed with heavily corrosive corners here and there. At the bottom of the artwork the Chernobyl monument with the firemen is represented as a commemorative basis for the artwork.

The Chernobyl Premium ed. features the iconic Pripyat ferris wheel and envelops the worn and weathered tuck box in a rasterised CMYK photography artwork. White texts on all sides are embossed to really make the artwork pop. The left tuck side is indicating the particular deck edition while the right side is showcasing the exact time and day of when the Chernobyl disaster began.

Forged on the bank of the Hudson River in New York, Hudson Playing Cards were inspired by a historic factory dating back to 1856. It was the pinnacle of playing card quality.

Thousands of decks once crossed this mythical assembly line - and then, as quickly as it emerged, it vanished in 1871 with the rise of the New York Consolidated Card Company.

A legend lost to history - until today. theory11 proudly reimagines Hudson Playing Cards, with an all-new deck designed and manufactured in the USA with relentless attention to detail.

The design is breathtaking, intricate, detailed, and timeless - with a custom Ace of Spades, Joker, back design, and tuck case packaging.

Also available in a white version which was released later (May 2013), this deck from Theory 11 was released near the end of 2012, was illustrated by hand in South Africa and designed by Simon Frouws. They featured elegant gold foil stamped onto ultra-lux black paper derived from sustainable forests. Produced by USPCC, the stock is from FSC-certified papers derived from sustainable forests, vegetable-based inks and starch-based laminates. Sealed with a red tax-stamp, vintage sticker seal marked with the exact month and year of print. Containing largely standard face cards, the emphasis is on the premium foil tuck, card back artwork and stock quality that also was environmentally conscious.

Citizens are the most intricate, breathtaking playing cards we’ve ever produced. Illustrated in America by Kevin Cantrell, every aspect was handcrafted with relentless, unrivaled attention to detail. 

For the first time, we combined gold foil, hot stamping, and bronze foil to create a box design that’s eye catching, elegant, and sophisticated.

Even the inside of the box has a breathtaking, intricate guilloche pattern. The Joker and back design bear the Latin phrase “Audentes Fortuna Iuvat.” Fortune favors the brave. The Ace of Spades features an iconic Citizen “C” emblem.

This is the brown and white color variation. The originally listed deck scan is not correct. The card backs do not share a gold ink.
