Inspired by vintage Hong Kong graphic design the 2018 Cardistry-Con playing cards feature an original back design and ace of spades in a retro monochrome colorway.

In mid-2018, we put 6 deck designs into a tournament like no other. A fight to the death to declare the undisputed heavyweight champion. 6 decks entered, and after tens of thousands of votes, there was only one left standing... MARBLES. Ellusionist fans & buyers from over 180 countries voted online & via social media to crown the victor. The decision seemed obvious. We'd love to say no designs were harmed during this contest, but 5 decks met their fate. In 1876 legendary cowboy and gambler Wild Bill Hickok was playing cards in Deadwood, Dakota Territory. He was shot in the back before he could play his hand... and legend has it that he held Aces and Eights: The Dead Man's Hand.

We celebrate the legacy of Wild Bill Hickok and the gambling lore of the Wild West with The Dead Man's Deck. This beautiful deck is filled with details surrounding Wild Bill and his storied past. The deck's design is true to the time period, with an ornate, grey pattern and old-style faces. And of course, the Aces and Eights are, well, bloody.

The defining feature of this deck, though, is that it has a bullet hole shot right through the middle of it, along with a commemorative musket ball lodged in the hole. Every deck comes with this musket ball and a scorched bullet hole through the entire deck.

Our new soft-touch box design features a two-tone black finish and silver foil stamping on top of a fully detailed quality embossing. Each deck comes in Tamariz stack and contains a number of new never-before seen hidden features. 

Dealers Playing Cards contain a Daniel Madison marking system. With each deck, you will receive a downloadable movie teaching the system. Marked decks can cost between $20-$30, but Daniel wishes to offer his system at the price of a normal deck of cards as you can see above. Dealers in Erdnase Green use the exact pantone color of the book Expert at the Card Table by S. W. Erdnase. As used in 1902, these playing cards utilize an edge-to-edge borderless casino "gambling house" design. If you are worried about double lifts etc, perhaps it's time to stop relying on white borders to hide inefficiencies. These cards will help you to get good at what you do. Madison has used the edge-to-edge design for that single purpose since he was a teenager taking people's money in real games. We cannot emphasize enough. The cards are printed to Daniel's specifications and are the essence of a standard held long ago. They almost fan themselves. Seconds are smoother than anything you may have been advantaged to feel before. Killer Bees are the mutant hybrid of timid European honey bees and their African cousins.  Like all superhero stories, the Killers were introduced to Brazil by mad scientists to help re-populate their diminishing Bee population.  But no-one could contain them... In 1957, 26 swarms escaped quarantine and declared war on the western hemisphere.  Danger lurking in the skies, these villains will stalk their victims for up to 1/2 a mile..  We wanted to capture the darker bodies of these cold-face killers in our deck. Creating a harsh black back with toxic-waste yellow honeycomb spilt on the back.  The black faces display custom pips and hold a sinister simplicity. Like something you'd expect to see on a discarded barrel of methylamine.  Killer Bees are the result of an unsanctioned lab experiment when toxic-waste spilled into a delicate hive of Honey Bees.

Little Deck Of Horrors is a celebration of the nostalgically scary “Ghost Train” with faces haunted by ghouls, goblins and ghosts. For those brave enough to “admit one”, Horrors becomes a whimsical ride through time, visiting the evil characters of our childhood.

The deck captures the glow of neon fairground lights, as they dart sharply across the back design, completed with a kaleidoscope of skulls. The cards themselves have been carefully tested for optimum durability and are printed on Cartamundi’s now famous B9 finish and stock. Some myths ARE real, so if you’ve never tried it, you’re missing out.

If you can ever put the deck down, it goes kicking and screaming into a side-loading tuck case. Trapped momentarily in a smooth gloss coffin until its next outing.
