Priory Nave Edition Playing Cards

The bold colors and sweeping lines of Priory may look modern, but the design is inspired by a small fresco motif found in a French church priory built in the 13th century.

The Primary Edition is numbered 1-1500 and sealed with a custom holographic seal. The tuck box is printed on a heavy duty gloss white cardstock with embossing and full coverage inks that highlight the bold colors of the Priory.

Priory is designed for motion and the repeated and rotated combination creates a dynamic visual movement that draws the eye back and forth across the design. Edge details mean that fans look amazing, and the unique coloring combination will certainly stand out from the crowd.

Every element is customized. Modern and unique pips adorn each face and the court figures feature bold and bright colors and reversed inks to create a visual impact.

Printed by the Expert Playing Card company on their latest Stud finish, the card feel is light and snappy, with excellent smoothness for fans and spreads. The cards measure out to a thin 15.5mm, vs 16.2mm or more for our previous decks. The deck faros easily and should handle well for both cardistry, sleights and general gaming use.

The Nave Edition is numbered 1-500 and sealed with a custom holographic seal. The tuck box has no ink and uses silver holographic foil and embossing on a custom, rich blue cardstock to create a purposefully minimalistic version of the Priory design motif. The Nave edition is clean and composed on the outside, with a burst of colorful cards inside.

In 2012, Encarded released Aurum, our second deck which was inspired by the design of Venice, Italy. Featuring rich purple and metallic gold tones, with intricate detail and "purposeful imperfection" Aurum has gone on to become a coveted collector deck. Available in 3 versions, all have become almost impossible to find, with the rarest Laser Cut Edition often trading for $500+.

When designing Aurum, the original vision for the design eclipsed what was possible to print at the time. Luckily, with advances in foil and printing techniques we can finally see the shimmer, reflection and detail that we imagined back in 2012. Aurum Deus is a completely new design, but takes the original Aurum and expands on it while infusing true reflective gold into the visual aspects.

Aurum Deus is a limited edition release of 1000 decks. Each will feature an intricate foil backed design, custom face art, a pearlescent white, purple and gold box with custom cutout windows that combines the aspects of the original Aurum versions, and a uniquely shaped and hand numbered seal.

Zenith is a long-time Encarded favorite and highly desired collector deck, and as part of the 2019 Patreon rewards I produced a limited run of 50 Zenith mini-decks. These pint-sized versions fit in the palm of your hand but still feature all the detail and custom faces of the original full-size deck. Only a handful of these decks remain, and they are offered in a black box signed by Paul Carpenter and are accompanied by a limited edition enamel pin. Each pin is numbered and features beautiful silver metal and shiny black enamel details. Each of these items is limited and won't be produced again.

Priory Premiere Limited Edition

The Premiere Edition features an exclusive, silver holo gilding on the cards. The tuck box is handcrafted by Paul Carpenter, with the design printed on a metallic quartz white cardstock, and then laser cut and assembled.* The intricately cut box is designed to provide glimpses of the gilded cards inside. The deck will be delivered in a protective clear sleeve from Carat Cases that is sealed with an Encarded holo seal. A certificate of authenticity will be included.

ONLY 72 OF THESE DECKS WILL BE CREATED AND 40 ARE AVAILABLE TO THE PUBLIC. There are no additional gilded decks in existence, all were used in this edition of the deck

VHS 1982 is a nostalgic deck that brings back memories of putting electrical tape over your VCR to keep it from blinking all night long and blowing the Nintendo game cartridge out before you start a 4 hour Contra marathon with you big brother.

VHS 1982 is a light-hearted deck that is inspired by the bold designs of the early 80s. The Kings Wild standard court cards get a totally rad upgrade with face-melting holographic foiling on both the front and the back of the cards.

For an extra level up, the classic VHS cassette back design features a flipbook "Be Kind Rewind" effect.

Inspired by vintage tobacco industry packaging, the No. 13 Table Players edition is the first deck in a six-deck series. The No. 13 deck features a classic look, with well thought out designs and colors. Each Table Players deck features the beautiful Kings Wild Standard Court Cards for easy table play.

The No. 13 cards are printed by The United States Playing Card Company, in the United States of America. The cards are printed on Classic Bicycle Stock with a silky smooth air-cushioned finish.

Black Reserve Note - Green Edition Only 250 Produced, much less were released. This was an error deck that was not released widely due to faulty gilding. There is no way of knowing this is gilded from the tuck box. The only way it can be confirmed is by opening the deck to see the green gilding.

The art for this deck is a reflection of the Book of Kells. The Book of Kells is a beautiful hand drawn and written illuminated manuscript that tells the story of the four Gospels of the Bible. This book was written around the same time as the origins of the King Arthur story. This legend and art style are a perfect compliment to each other. In the Camelot Edition, each suit will have its own unique suite Celtic knot border. Other notable differences will be much more elaborate aces and a unique dyptich joker.

The Equinox I - 2019 Standard Edition is a luxury reprint of the first deck of the Kings Wild Shorts Subscription service that launched a year ago in September. For the 2019 edition, both the card manufacturer and tuck case manufacturer were upgraded to EPCC (cards) and Clove St. Press (Tuck Case) to give the Equinox I the same luxurious fit and finish as the Equinox II deck had in March.
