This year the Magna Carta turned 800 years old. Initially ambiguous in its future, this document has transformed over time into an icon that has rippled throughout world history with positive change. To me, the Magna Carta is one of the most inspiring examples of timelessness. Today the Magna Carta is the foundation of liberty and human rights in many parts of the world. This deck series was created to honor and celebrate this landmark occasion. 

This series is split up into two factions. Royals vs. Rebels. The Royals deck commands attention in rich black, representing the King and his empire. The sleek back design features the gorgeous crowned lion in which 3 heads represent the 3 lion crest of the Angevin Empire. As a way to pay tribute to this event, you can now recreate it with the world's first hexapytch deck series. Often times the sides of a tuck case are wasted away with filler text, being an underutilized area for artwork. Inspired by old book collections which featured beautiful murals across their spines, I've illustrated this famous event based on the iconic image of the signing. Utilizing 2 decks of the Royals as the center with a Rebels deck on either end creates the basic image, adding a King John deck (Gold or Silver) on the very ends completes the full image.

For collectors I've crafted a special King John deck representing the origin of the Magna Carta. This deck is crucial in helping tell the story of the abuse in taxation which spurred the eventual rebellion. The deck represents the motivations of the Magna Carta, featuring King John tuck case but with the Rebel Baron's gold in hand representing the taxation crisis.

Viridian playing cards feature a custom vintage design, reimagined courts, a beautifully crafted tuck case and a stamp bearing an intricate custom design. A deck that is as beautiful as it is functional, Viridian is the first in Trikard’s new line of Signature playing cards - versatile for magic, card flourishing or even just a game of poker.

Chancellor follows in the footsteps of Zenith and is possibly the most beautiful deck we have created. Inspired by a small detail on a century-old Bicycle card back, Chancellor grew into an incredibly detailed artwork, packing all of the experience and design innovations that Encarded has developed since our founding in 2011.

There will be just 1000 decks of Chancellor printed. The Chancellor tuck is incredible, with thick matte black paper, two foils and large scale, incredibly detailed blind embossing. The deck is sealed with a beautiful metallic foil seal, individually numbered and carefully designed to integrate with the tuck design.

The card backs are printed on the same Master finish stock as Zenith and features FOUR metallic inks that intertwine into a detailed, "shadow bordered" back with subtle edge details and dimension. The faces are fully custom, with a dramatic court featuring beautiful detail and unique colorations. 

WhiteWolf - Premium Vodka that lends itself to design as stark and crisp as the Russian Tundra. Lead designer Mike Clarke took a very different angle with this deck, giving it a modern, minimalist twist. Sporting half-shaded pips and single-line drawing courts, these cards capture the purity of fine vodka itself. A speckled paper overprint on thin cotton stock give match a truly luxury feel with an otherwise austere composition. Although the brand WhiteWolf was created just for these cards, we truly believe that its magic should be bottled. This deck looks like it was created to be sold with bottles of WhiteWolf Vodka, the one deck in the Prohibition Series that comes across as commercial design. Kings Wild Emerald Talley-ho Limited Edition Deck

Tally Ho is a brand that is more than 100 years old and it is my privilege to create my third Tally Ho deck. The Emerald Tally Ho deck is the second deck in my my limited edition Tally Ho series. The first deck, the Scarlett Tally Ho, was inspired by my youngest daughter who is also named Scarlett. The Emerald Tally Ho deck is inspired by my oldest daughter Claire. The Emerald theme comes from Claire's birthstone. Starting with the same basic design structure, as the Scarlett Tally Hos, the Emerald has a completely redesigned back and tuck. The same limited edition courts have been used with new design and color styles to match the new Emerald theme.

With striking metallic blue and silver foil, this new edition is our best yet. We've improved our print production and embossing process, and the results speak for themselves: more detailed embossing and crisp design.

My interest in the art of Leonardo is lifelong. Realizing his work into modern playing card design has completely absorbed me this last year. Weaving elements of his paintings and drawings together and carefully integrating them has deepened my appreciation for Leonardo's sublime talent.

This KickStarter deck was available in Gold or Silver, printed by Legends with Elite Finish

This is the Limited Edition of this deck which uses a lenticular lens on the tuck to have the image change/morph when viewing from different angles, showing a man turning into a werewolf and back again.  The changing image on the Limted Edition differs from the Special Edition and includes silver foil stamping.

The deck as also available in a Special Edition (also with lenticular lens) and a Standard Edition.
