La Mouche is a 54-card poker-sized custom deck following the adventures of a fly, the mischievous protagonist, sometimes appearing as an insect, at other times disguising itself as a beauty mark. Throughout the faces and reverse of the cards, you’ll find numerous references to repurposed playing cards from the past, as well as nods to old card games, art, literature, music, and more – all tied together by la mouche. Printed in 2024 by Expert Playing Card Co. on their classic linen-finish stock and featuring silver cold foil on the faces, La Mouche Blanche has been released in a limited run of 700 decks. The custom-shaped tuck box, echoing vintage packaging designs, has been manufactured in Italy by Boschiero & Newton using letterpress printing on high-quality Gmund Cotton paper stock.

La Mouche Noire is the deluxe edition of La Mouche, with a tuck box inspired by the charming aesthetic of vintage French posters and a hand-stamped seal resembling an event ticket with numbered, limited seating. Like the Blanche deck, it consists of 54 poker-sized cards and revolves around the adventures of a fly, the mischievous protagonist sometimes appearing as an insect, at other times disguising itself as a beauty mark. High Flyers Playing Cards features a combination theme between beautiful world of birds and the world of air mail. The Number Cards are fashioned to look like postcards, complete with unique cancellation stamps. The Aces feature customized enlarged pips - Ace of Hearts, Clubs, and Diamonds are showing pips with colorful feathers, while the power Ace of Spades showing the eyes of the Owl, which is integrated with the tuck box that has die-cut windows that shaped like their flying googles. The Courts feature a variety of birds, from small to big, adorning their aviation uniform ready to send messages across the world.

The Fuyu-no-Sensu (冬の扇子) Winter tuck is a completely custom tuck with a new printing plate created by EPCC for this project. It has a longer lip, a shallower finger grip for a unique design feature that compliments the custom numbered seal, and is thicker to accomodate the Japanese byobu folding screen insert. The folding screen is expertly made by byobu artisans in Kyoto by hand. Such a product has never been made at this scale before and so the screen artists are developing a trial series. Made from thick quality stock and wrapped with the court prints on textured Japanese washi paper. Beware, the Sharks are here! The Shark playing card is inspired by the king of the seas - The Great White Shark. The designer Adrian Valenzuela extended the Shark's body throughout the sides of the box as if it was lurking out of the deep ocean. The Shark's fin seamlessly connects when you fan out or spread the cards, forming an image of the Shark making its way out of the deck. Andrian breaks down the Shark into multiple geometric shapes, giving the Shark a realistic scale-like skin. Combined with the word 'Shark' colored in red, it reminds us to keep an eye out the deep blue.

The backs are two-way with a white border, showing the shark on the tuck-box and the word 'SHARK' horizontal in red, all on a white background.
