The court figures are based on original paintings by the illustrator John H. Bacon, who also illustrated titles such as: Pharos the Egyptian (as serialized in the Windsor Magazine in 1898), The Marriage of Arthur and Guinevere, Jane Eyre Illustrated. Editions with advertising backs are also known, eg Hotels of the Midland Railway. The pack also contained a Joker showing a jester playing a guitar and riding on a donkey, with the caption "Laugh! and the world laughs with you."

My name is Sunish Chabba, and I, along with my friend & illustrator, Ishan Trivedi, are proud to introduce you to "A Motley Pack - Transformation Playing Cards". This project is based on a rare & almost forgotten work of art & high creativity titled "On the Cards; Or, A Motley Pack" by the Australian writer, dramatist, journalist and publisher Garnet Walch that was published in Melbourne in 1875. Published as a Pantomime in the form of a Christmas Annual, the book consists of 40 transformed playing cards illustrated by Australian poet George Gordon McCrae. WoPC notes that George McCrae also wrote novels, stories, poetry, travel sketches and illustrated books. Some of his sketches may have been inspired by his travels to Mauritius and the Seychelles, as well as by Aboriginal people.

Designed in Italy by Sicilian artist Alessandra Gagliano, The Green Man playing cards are a celebration of the magic and mythology of the plant world. After the success of Fillide – A Sicilian Folk Tale, Jocu return to ancient art and folklore, exploring this iconic character and delving into the legends behind dozens of plants and trees said to contain magical properties.

The luxurious full-foil tuck boxes were printed under the supervision of our head designer in Italy, and feature bright foils and embossing.

Printed in Belgium on Cartamundi’s premium B9 slimline card stock, our elegant and luxurious playing cards spread, fan and faro beautifully and will bring a dose of real magic to your performances, flourishes and card games.

National Playing Card Collection Day was created to help spread awareness of our art to the world. It accompanied the launch of Portfolio52, the world's largest online playing card database. The free service offers an easier way for collectors to discover and manage their personal collections. A limited edition deck of 400 was crafted by Alexander Chin to commemorate this holiday.

The NPCCD Deck is the most labor intensive deck ever produced by Seasons. Each deck is run by hand through offset, letterpressed on premium cotton paper, hot foil stamped in gold, diecut, folded, glued, and then sealed with an individually numbered seal of authenticity. Organic black forms a column that drips into the diamond emblem featuring the inauguration.

We haven't created a new playing card deck for our studio in over five years, so it's pretty exciting for us to introduce "Republic," a custom playing card deck based on Finnish/Nordic folk art and design. There is a large Finnish community in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan where our studio is located, especially in our hometown of Republic. We are excited to have a deck that bears the name of this local community that we love so much and cannot wait to share it with you when it arrives at the studio in June!

Blueblood Redux is an entirely custom, limited edition playing card deck based on our most popular and sold-out deck, Blue Blood – the first deck we created in our eventual six deck series. All imagery in the deck is taken from entirely original, hand-drawn artwork by Linnea Gits and Peter Dunham. The tuck box for this deck is printed on heavy, archival stock and has detailed embossing that emphasizes the intricate artwork on the box.
