Yosegi playing cards were designed and produced by Art of Play and were first introduced through their Mystery Deck 2023 event. The card design was inspired by yosegi, the classic Japanese art of pattern making. Yosegi is best known for its wooden boxes (for jewelry, puzzles, etc.) that use different types of wood to create beautiful and intricate designs. Art of Play has taken these classic designs and turned them into the borderless back of this deck. The faces have a beige background that gives the cards a vintage feel.

For those who aren't aware of stripper decks, they are cut at a slight angle allowing you to perform certain magic tricks. Inspired by the world's most intricate Hedge Mazes, "THE HEDGE" features 56 Uniquely Designed Cards with actual, full-frame mazes running THROUGH each of the Kings, Queens and Jacks. The specificity involved in making each of these unique tiny mazes was intense. The designs alone have taken almost 100 hours.
