This entry is for the first print run of v2 edition of DeckONE playing cards which can be distinguished by roman numerals "II" visible on the tuck flap. First print run of v2 edition has "II" on the tuck flap.
Quote from Director of Operations at Theory11, Lyle Borders:
Two versions, across three different printings. Printing #1 did not have the aged, worn look that the current edition does. People carried these decks in their pockets, and eventually they would wear down and develop a really cool aged look. V2 emulated that look. V2 had 2 printings. The III indicates the 3rd printing, which is a V2 printing. II and III are essentially identical other than that small change which indicates the printing.

Limited Edition-Rarebit-Green
FROM CHARLESTON, SOUTH CAROLINA
Inspired by a vintage, speakeasy restaurant called The Rarebit in Charleston, South Carolina, Rarebit Playing Cards became an instant collector's item upon release in 2013 at theory11. Available only through the “Rarebit” restaurant in South Carolina in 2013 - Ultra-Limited Run.
A small production deck to be used internally and for promotion purposes at the company Mailchimp, this deck gained a large group of fans when it was posted on the website dribble and other sites. It was designed and produced by the creative/ad agency Fuzzco promotion company with assistance from Theory11 in early 2014. Possible plans for public availability and a 2nd printing was quickly solidified after the appreciation for this deck was obvious. The 2nd printing was done as a 2nd version in 2 color variations in March 2015 direct from Theory11 with proceeds to support Fugees Family, a non-profit organization devoted to working with child survivors of war. This PCDB entry is ONLY for the ORIGINAL printing for Mailchimp use. https://dribbble.com/shots/1492977-MailChimp-Playing-Cards
Made in the USA on FSC-certified paper derived from sustainable forests, starch-based laminates, and vegetable-based inks. Illustrated by Hatch Design in San Francisco, California.
The most limited deck ever released by Theory11, with less than 1 gross being sold.
This deck is not an officially released print run but rather the result of a mistake in printing. During the implementation of metallic gold to the deck the execution of printing was not up to standard and the full run was trashed - with the exception of a gross. This deck should be considered an "error" deck rather than a full public release deck.
For those looking for the Gold Monarchs featuring hot foil gold on the cards (rather than just metallic gold) please refer to the later edition here:
