ABOUT THIS DECK

My name is Micah, known as ArticaVisuals online. I am a freelance graphic designer specializing in logo and branding design. One of my 2019 resolutions was to commit to a long-term design project I would be passionate about. While browsing the internet, I stumbled across a deck of cards featuring beautiful illustrations by several talented designers, and I instantly decided this was exactly the kind of project I wanted to take on. But what should go on the cards? I’ve traveled to so many national parks with my family, and they seemed like the perfect theme for my cards. Each of the 52 cards features a scene from a different national park in the United States and 2 jokers with fun animal designs. After 6 months and hundreds of hours of hard work, they are finally available for backing on Kickstarter.

The casino-quality cards are inspired by a vintage western aesthetic, and all the illustrations are drawn with individual lines, giving them a modern feel, connecting the past to the present.

I have already identified our printing company WJPC to produce the cards on high-quality 310gsm German black core card-stock (2.5" x 3"). The cards will be butter finish, which is a major finish for magic playing cards and cardistry playing cards. The tuck box will be a silk matte lamination with silver foil included.
