From 1970s, this is a deck of playing cards made in France by Editions J.C. Dusserre, Maitres-Cartiers Boechat Freres. The cards are a reproduction of a set of cards made in 1493 by master cardmaker Jehan Personne in Lyons France. This set had been reconstituted and published from the original of a moulding sheet conserved in the Public Library of Dijon.

A facsimile reproduction of a game originally made by engraver Stefano della Bella under commission to Cardinal Mazarin. It was used to instruct and entertain the young prince who would become King Louis XIV. Each country is represented by an engraving accompanied by a description of the land. Each deck is boxed and includes 52 monochrome cards. Part of a limited edition by now-defunct Italian card manufacturer Edizione Del Solleone. Each card measures 6.1 cm x 9.5 cm.

This deck was originally published in Paris by Daumont. They were designed by Gilles de la Boissiere and engraved by Pierre de la Pautre. Some of the cards define certain terms used in warfare. There are also scenes of battles and their description at the base of the card. Part of a limited edition of 1,200 decks by now-defunct Italian card manufacturer Del Solleone. The deck about the French Revolution has hard-drawn indices with blue for the black suits. The aces say "1" instead of "A". It has pictures of characters from the French Revolution on the aces, and on the court cards there are pictures of specific people involved in the revolution with quotes from them in French. There is a paper insert explaining who these people are (in French and English). The jokers are different. One with a picture of a character called a Muscadin, and the other a Merveilleuse. There is one more card which tells the illustrator and printer of the deck. The backs are one-way and the same as the back of the tuck box.
