Many of us had night lights as a kid. Yet, no matter how much taller, stronger, older, or wiser we’ve gotten?
We all still need one to hold on to and “turn on”…
One to help us “punch holes” in the darkness.
And with Virtuoso Night Light, we’ve designed one for your pocket.
Upon the “night sky” of the back design hangs a gold foil Star (made of interlocking Virtuoso Vs).
It casts golden lines of light that weave like sound waves across the sky.
Surrounding the Star are smaller V “stars” that gently pulse.
For across the 52 backs, the stars vary in brightness, contrast, and opacity….
Creating a subtle twinkling of stars as you riffle through the cards.
In essence, for the first time since the Launch Edition, we’re debuting brand new back design.
The court cards are a fusion of:
- The artwork from the FW17 deck
- And the court card designs we originally intended to release with the Launch Edition
Virtuoso Night Light’s faces also feature a brand new “Candy Wrapper” layout that:
Clusters the pips in ways that pay tribute to classic decks
While they “orbit” the center circle in movement
The new layout creates space and contrast between the pips and center circle.
So, in rotations and spins…
The pips form a swirling “blade” that’s more dynamic than ever…
While the center circle appears to stay completely still.
And because the center circle is more isolated than ever (both on the faces and back)…
The way they merge as one in flips and twirls is surreal.
It’s a fusion of the classic the new. Just like the brand new back design.
