Like a meteor entering Earth's atmosphere, this deck features an all-new, patterned, holographic full foil that reflects and shimmers from any angle. Discover the cosmic sparkle with your own eyes! Technical details: Designed to resemble the grey / blue hue of the fascinating Murchison meteorite that fell to earth in 1969, it's finding sheds light on the molecular complexity that existed at or just after the birth of the Solar System. As for the playing cards, we use an ultra-thin mylar, or full foil, laminated to thin paper on both sides. The card backs are a holographic full foil pattern, giving these decks an otherworldly shimmer, and the faces are standard silver mylar. Like rare Pokemon cards, the faces and backs feature overprinting at varying opacities to block out the shiny effects of the full foil. The only difference between these and trading cards is our decks spring, fan, and handle like a normal deck of playing cards! A designer's dream, and totally out-of-this-world technology for future playing card decks like the Fontaine Characters or Haas Brothers x L'Objet colloboration. The cards feel soft and supple, and aren't thick or heavy. They are nearly identical in thickness to our Classic Finish card stock. The ink opacities and colors chosen for this deck don't adversely affect handling like the black inks on the Ultra-Black deck, so they will fan perfectly out of the box. These cards are manufactured using our latest technological advancements, however they are not perfect. They can warp along the short axis, depending on humidity. The cards are soft and flexible though, and handling them and gently bending them back while flourishing, or springing them from hand to hand will help to remove any subtle bend. Some cardists even prefer the bend as it makes moves like the LePaul Spread even easier to perform and practice. The colored inks are printed on the full foil with a 2-ton sheet-fed offset UV printing press, and cured with UV light, not an infrared heat tunnel. This yields a different feel to to the cards than our standard Classic Finish. The card faces have no expense spared, with silver full foil, each space man / astronaut / cosmonaut features shiny elements in their suits.
