"I began to feel a strong desire to reinterpret more accurately the traditional court cards – but in a modern and sharp way. Something apparently very different from my previous decks, but made with the same great attention and love.
As my first solo project I may have been a bit ambitious (some might even say Bold), but I wanted something that was intimate and personal. Out of the combination of my greatest passions - illustration, graphic design, typography, and playing cards - Bold was born.
Bold came out in a very natural, spontaneous way, and I had a lot of fun working on it." - Elettra
