This custom deck of playing cards features Warriors from China,Japan, Korea and Mongolia. Each suit represents warriors from a different empire. This custom deck of playing cards was hand illustrated. Printed in the USA by the United States Playing Card Company (USPCC) under the Bicycle brand with a Linen Air Cushion Finish. These are standard edition-make decks made by Richert Karuta rather than Oishi Tengudo, with plain 1-colored backs rather than silver-patterned ones like the Limited Edition. But! They do come with the same silver stamps you see on the limited edition on seven of the cards, and they also come in individual paulownia wooden boxes, in turn placed inside a wider paulownia box. The limited edition is made by Oishi Tengudo in Kyoto. Only 150 copies each of the two patterns will be made, for a total of 300 decks. The limited edition cards have elaborate backs with a silver sayagata pattern. 7 of the cards (the "brights") have also been hand-stamped with silver ink, like you see on many 19th century hanafuda decks. The cards have a prominent warp, as is traditional with handmade Japanese cards. The fronts of the cards have been hand-lacquered twice. The decks come in traditional paulownia wood boxes with a partition in the middle.
