Heretic Noctis "Prototype00" version 2012-2013

This prototype was produced in 2013, featuring face designs from 2012. A total of 5 prototypes were made in 2013 and printed by a print-on-demand service in Italy. Unfortunately, the cards have a bad cut on the round corners and are printed on regular paper with a semi-glossy finish resulting in darker colors. However, this prototype served as the first test which eventually led to a complete redesign of the deck.

The tuckbox is designed to open at the bottom, despite the presence of the old S17 Private Reserve sticker on the top (which is from 2015). Additionally, a signature can be found on the top of the tuckbox.

Reserve counted 10 prototypes (5 Lux and 5 Noctis)

Heretic Playing Cards by Lorenzo Gaggiotti (Stockholm17) is based on alchemy and the hermetic world. Salt (for the Jacks), Sulfur (for the Queens) and Mercury (for the Kings) are the three basic ingredients of the alchemist. This PCDB entry is for the uncut Lux version of the deck, there also was a Noctis version and standard decks of each. In addition, there was a VERY limited subset of both Lux and Noctis that were signed and wax sealed called Heretic Gran Riserva.

Heretic Playing Cards by Lorenzo Gaggiotti (Stockholm17) is based on alchemy and the hermetic world. This PCDB entry is for the Lux version of the Gran Riserva edition, Mercury class (just 6 serialized decks made with this class seal). Each deck in each class for the Gran Riserva editions have a custom printed seal for each class, plus a wax seal and signed by the artist. Other classes available in the Gran Riserva edition were classes for Sulfur, Salt and Antimony (for both Lux and Noctis), each with different quantities made. These are the tuck and cards as the basic versions of Lux and Noctis, but with the added seals and signed.
