In 2013, Lu Chen searched for a deck that would "obey his every command." He collaborated with Si Scott, the designer of Dan and Dave's Smoke & Mirror Playing Cards series, who drew a silent chameleon with a dip pen. That chameleon became the original SPAR Playing Cards, a sharp tool for magic. At first, it was only 1000 decks printed by USPCC for Lu Chen's personal use. For the 10th Anniversary, Lu Chen released the second iteration of SPAR Playing Cards with TCC Playing Cards - Red & Blue in Standard Set; Black & White in Leather Box; Gold, Silver, & Copper in autographed Wooden Box. And now, thirteen years later, Lu Chen teamed up with designer LunZi of Smooth Writing to bring the chameleon vividly back to life, and this is a much more personal one. Crafted from textured leather paper, the Collector Purple Gift is adorned with an elegant hot silver logo. The duo decks boast premium craftmanship: both are housed inside the gift box. This deck is the exclusive special edition of the purple SPAR, which features LunZi's whimsical yet signature design of Smooth Writing. There is a custom long numbered stamp on the tuck box that will match with the other deck in the set.

The exclusive edition features a lenticular box that delivers shifting visual effects when rotated. On the front side, watch as the white card with the word "Story" slowly reveals the hand-drawn SPAR back design in purple surrounded with two chameleons. It appears as if the chameleons are the guardian of Lu Chen's masterpiece.

Printed on original Japanese cardstock, the ornate surreal artwork incorporates motifs such as rabbits and magic bottles, using striking visual design to tell magical narratives and create optical illusions. The faces feature card people performing magic, half are wooden puppets, with the other half are rabbits. The unicycle-riding Joker juggles the items featured in the deck.
