ABOUT THIS DECK
On August 9 to 11, 2024 - Disney held the ultimate Disney fan event at Honda Center in Anaheim, California, USA. Magician David Blaine was present to promote his documentary show "Do Not Attempt" (which will be streamed in Disney+) and did an interactive magic trick with the audiences using this special deck of cards sealed inside a black envelope - the envelope which the audiences were instructed to not open until it was instructed by David Blaine. After the magic trick is done, David Blaine announced that the deck can be kept by the audiences as a memorabilia of the magical moment spent with David Blaine in D23 Expo. Very exclusive and very rare - you can ONLY find this sold on eBay by whoever had attended the event and it will rise in value overtime.
The tuck box is navy blue matte stock with holographic foil artwork. The artworks of the deck is done by Mark Stutzman, a longtime illustrator working on David Blaine's decks and posters. The back design features two-way illustration of a moon cycle, with the sun on the corners, and the iconic magic hat (reference to Disney's "Fantasia") on the center area. The deck is already shuffled, but if you followed the stacking instruction printed below the "Split Spade" power pip on the Ace of Spades, you can see the animation of a moon cycle when you riffled the cards. The Courts, as per David Blaine's decks, featured custom faces - the magician himself and the people he met. Some of the Courts have references to his magic performances: like Buried Alive, Vertigo, and Bullet Catch. The cards are printed in USPCC - 12000 decks made.
