The "Redemption Stories" will be as luxurious and high end as they can but without foil (which is the magic word for delays).

The Royal Silk deck which is our first “Redemption Story” is the Red version, which was meant to be part of the first year’s Patreon. As you know, we decided to reprint all Royal Silk decks, as we felt that there were things that should be improved, although many people don’t see how this deck can be improved... So, the first Redemption deck is the red sibling of the Purple edition which was offered as “Royal Silk Test print”. Unlike the purple edition, this one and all Redemption Stories are available exclusively to Patrons.

This tuck case will be the same for all the "Redemption decks". The only difference will be the roman numeral for each "volume". The deck inside will be visible through an opening in the back of the box. All decks will be numbered, with a fancy, signed extra card as a certificate of authenticity. I also added the year 2022 on the front because... what is a Lotrek edition without a date out of time on it to laugh with?

The decks are numbered on the outer tuck case and Patrons will have their number.

But, wait... What is a Lotrek deck without more changes... We decided to include in this month's Redemption Stories the 180 decks that were printed with the first Royal Silk print run and were intended as gifts for the first year's Patrons. These decks are printed in Gold and Silver foil and contained in a Black Tuck case, instead of two gold foils on the original Gold and Gold editions

The Gold/Silver will be limited to 1 per patron, everyone who placed an order for 2 extra redemption decks, will get:

• 2 Gold/Gold (in the grey box)
• 1 Gold/Silver (in the black box)

• 1 Gold/Gold
• 1 Gold/Silver

If for some reason you don't want the Gold/Silver edition and you prefer to have only Gold/Gold, let us know by sending a message.

So, each Patron from the first 2 years will be getting one "Redemption Stories" deck for free, with the option to add another one or two maximum, depending on the print run. There ended up being about 60 Gold/Silver (Black tuck case) and 50 Gold/Gold (Grey tuck case) decks available for secondary sale.

Are Patrons from Year 3 eligible to get these free decks?

No! You will have to wait for your turn to join the club of the Masters of Patience, at the end of year 3. Although it's most certain that you eventually will, right now your rewards are not delayed.

Redemption Story Vol. VI is the Patrons deck. A limited run of 650 decks, printed exclusively for our Patrons, due to issues with the print below.

There is a little issue with the PATRONS deck that I NEED YOUR HELP for, and this is the main reason for the lack of updates for a long time: I’ve been debating with myself whether I should reprint it or not! The foil registration is stunning, the details very clear, printing is great, handling is good and I’m overall pleased, but:

• The embossed stock has left some uncovered spots on the foil. Some Patrons noticed that from the beginning. I’m not sure I don’t like that, though. It’s all over the card, so you can see it as a texture instead of seeing it as a flaw. I’m not very happy but I don’t dislike it, either.
• Another little issue is that the pressure and heat applied for the double foil on the back has caused the cards to bend. This affects handling a bit.
• None of these is enough to make me reject the print though but I’m not very happy either.

Patrons POLLED as to what they wanted Lotrek to do with the print job:

• Do you want the deck to be sent as is?
• Or should I give it a try and reprint it on a different, smooth stock?
• In case of a reprint, we will send immediately (before the rewards) one deck to every past and active Patron as a REDEMPTION Story deck FOR FREE.

Patrons voted for REPRINT!

We have printed SILK PLAYERS in 2 color variants, of which one (teal/gold) will be given as a Redemption gift to all who have ordered Royal Silk and are still patiently waiting for it. What nobody knows yet is that there is a third variant, SILK PLAYERS Frost Edition which is one of the next Redemption Stories! This variant will be exclusively available to Patrons, it has a very shiny silver ink and will be silver gilded. There will also be a hand signed Ad card inside the deck: Patrons who have ordered Royal Silk will get both the Teal/Gold free deck and of course the Frost edition as a Redemption Story.
