From the World of Playing Cards website: "Promotional deck produced by the British gentleman’s magazine “Esquire” c.2002. Each suit and both jokers have the same images, so effectively there are 14 images, each of which is a cover from the magazine published during 2000 or 2001." There is an insert in the deck offering a discount on a subscription to the magazine. The insert states that the offer will end on August 16, 2001. The latest image published on the face of the cards is May 2001 suggesting that this deck was produced shortly thereafter in order to be distributed with sufficient time for deck owners to take advantage of the subscription offer.

Very similar to the 2003 USPCC American deck, except for the French translations on the box front and back, the listing of The International Playing Card Company of Ontario on the box bottom, and the seal for The International Playing Card Co. Ltd. Manufactured in the US for the Canadian market.
